Grand Arbaeen Procession Held in Suleja, Nigeria by Followers of Sheikh Zakzaky

Coinciding with the arrival of Arbaeen, followers and students of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky in the Kaduna region have held a grand Arbaeen procession for Imam Hussein (AS) in the city of Suleja, located in Niger State, Nigeria. The march stands as a resounding declaration of loyalty to the martyrs of Karbala and defiance in the face of ongoing oppression.

Hawzah News Agency- the ceremony was held to commemorate the tragic martyrdom of Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (AS), the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and his faithful companions in the Battle of Karbala.

The procession commenced in the early hours of the morning from the stadium near the Suleja Local Government Secretariat. Large crowds of men and women, clad in black and arrayed in orderly ranks, peacefully and calmly traversed various routes across the city.

Participants moved through the central streets of Suleja, passing through the Rafin Sanyi area, before proceeding from the old quarter towards the city of Kwankwashe. The Arbaeen march ultimately concluded at Madallah Market Square, near the town of Zuba on the outskirts of Abuja.

By holding the Arbaeen march and donning black attire, attendees underscored the depth of their grief and mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his loyal companions, while simultaneously reaffirming their steadfast stand against the oppression and crimes perpetrated against the household of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Karbala.

The spiritual event drew followers and students of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky from cities and regions across Nigeria, including Minna, Suleja, Kaduna, Kontagora, Kano, Sokoto, Gusau, Katsina, and Lagos, all of whom participated in this powerful demonstration of faith.

The ceremony, marked by a massive public turnout, was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere and concluded successfully without any incident.

The Arbaeen procession of Imam Hussein (AS) has, in recent years, become one of the most significant manifestations of love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the renewal of allegiance to the ideals of the Ashura uprising among the followers of the school of the Holy Household in Nigeria.
